Xonca Tier Pricing

By default, there is a base Price Tier for every e-commerce storefront, which cannot be deleted. The base price is what all general customers will see in your e-commerce storefront if they are not assigned to any special Price Tier groups. When you create and edit products, you see the Price field associated with the base price. You will only see additional pricing options if you create Pricing tiers.

You have the capability of assigning unlimited price tiers (levels) to your customers. Example: wholesalers receive a 20% discount.

Customers must be setup with log-in information to be assigned to other than the base price tier. See the User section to manage users.

ADDING / EDITING / DELETING  PRICE TIERS

There are two ways to create price tiers:

1. Assign a decimal percentage based value (example 0.90 which equals 90% of the base price).
2. Assign a zero for the price tier, and then for each WebItem, you can assign the price manually when creating or editing a WebItem.

Log-in to the administration area of your store. NOTE: Fields with an orange bar at the end are REQUIRED fields — you must enter something.

To add price tiers, Click SETTINGS.
Click TIER PRICING.
Click ADD TIER. Tab or Click from field to field and enter the following information:

  • NAME
  • ORDER BY (sort 0rder 1-99)
  • MODIFY PERCENT (leave blank to leave pricing unaffected)
  • STATUS (drop-down box) Select ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

Click SAVE.

To EDIT PRICE TIERS:  Click SETTINGS.
Click TIER PRICING.
In the list of pricing tiers, Click EDIT next to the  Price Tier to change. Tab or Click from field to field and make desired changes.
Click SAVE.

To DELETE PRICE TIERS:   Click SETTINGS.
Click TIER PRICING. In the list of pricing tiers, Click DELETE next to the appropriate Price Tier. It will ask you if you are sure if you want to delete the Price Tier. Click OK to delete or Cancel to Not .

CAUTION: when you publish a price tier which has a percentage based calculation defined, such as wholesale, it will update all Webitem pricing for that price tier. So, if you have assigned manual pricing for Webitems for a price tier which uses a percentage based calculation, your manual pricing will be overwritten.
